Default 07 to 08 interior change on cashmere

I noticed that the interior on the cashmere car is different from 07 to 08. Any reason why this happened?

This is the 2007 from the Edmunds review

They also have a blk/blk car similarly equipped. Do folks with the cashmere interior find it hard to keep clean?

Ive never had a car with leather before.

Well--certainly the black carpets are easier to keep clean. My interior is gray, and it always had the black carpets--I really like the gray/black combo.

I just read a whole thread on this. I should've searched first, but it was fun to post pics. Still waiting for the dealer to call with final numbers.

I wish my cashmere interior came with black carpets.

Just make sure to Scotchguard the interior while it is brand new. Purchase the special carpet formula. This will make a huge differance in repelling dirt.

My 08 cashmere still has cashmere carpet. It was changed mid-cycle after the first few batches of cars were built.

Personally I'm not a fan of the black carpet with tan leather, so I'm happy I got mine before the change (and would've been unhappy if it has just shown up w/black carpet after I'd ordered it with tan).

No issue keeping mine clean so far, but I'm pretty careful not to get in the car with muddy boots or anything

It was a cleaning issue. Some people purchased the "cleaning warranty" for the interior. It was harder to get the carpets back to the original color. The warranty was not profitable an more if the owners kept bringing it back every 6 months to have the carpet cleaned.

I have the all weather floor mats so i dont have that much to worry except for what the mats dont cover.

I've got cashmere carpet. The dealer shampoos my mats for me and it's as good as new until I mess it up again. The black mats kinda.....ruin it for me personally.

BTW, don't forget about that snazzy coin holder! =P

Cashmere/Cashmere = beautiful, but the carpets get really dirty.
Cashmere/Black = doesn't look nice

I wish I had black interior.

Yeah, I don't really care for the black carpeting in my car (Tungsten Pearl with Grey interior) - shows up every little speck (much more than grey or beige), but I guess it does hide the really bad black/brown mud and dirt better.

I would like to reccomend the all-season Lexus mats, they are worth every penny. I was ruining my drivers carpeted mat until I bought these. I may keep them in all year round. They really trap the dirt and other debris. Plus, they don't look that bad. Has the fancy Lexus logo and fits perfectly being OEM. No slippage with the "I" clip and studded backing.

I just bought an 08 like the second picture...I have an automatic however. However, it looks exactly like the picture. I do however, have the wood grain accents.
