Default About to purcahse headlight/fog light overlay

I am about to make a purchase on headlight/fog light overlay, still struggling where I should purchase it from, either vinyl or aerotect. Thanks to XprincoX’s picture for optic blue from aerotect I can get an idea how it looks like on mine (I got TP color as well). My only concern is no one has pictures for ICE or Blue from rvinyl.com? If I can see a picture of those then I can go ahead and make my purchase right away….

i purchased from aerotect.. they were great to deal with. i messed up one of my vinyls on accident while installing and they replaced free of charge.

edit: aerotect has cheaper redouts, but rvinyl has wayy cheaper foglights. i would just buy from rvinyl if you want the redouts to match the rest of your taillights.

OT: im gonna replace my redouts soon.. cuz they're starting to peel. Can i just heatgun and peel slowly or is there some other way to do it?

Aerotect is a little more than Rvinyl.com though, I mean just 10 bucks not a big difference. still no pictures for ICE or Blue from Rvinyl.com?

I have the protective yellow vinyl from Rvinyl and love it. It was worth the $22 for the look and added protection from a potential rock cracking the plastic which is easy to do. Spend the extra $10 on the protective film.

Not really feeling yellow, I just wanted to see how ICE/BLUe looks like, I can get the protective for blue but not on ICE. damn can't believe no one has pictures for ICE/BLUE.

I got my Fog light cover from Rvinyl as well. They are fast and efficient. I also got the blue HID protective vinyl which is $10 more than their already cheap price.

The product feels good, installation was a breeze, pre cuts were a very good fit and it looks good.

They also have Head light and fog light combo. Overall I believe both aerotect and Rvinyl are great products, really just depends on color preference.

I just needed to see some pictures for the blue and ice color then I would be able to make my final decision but I am having a difficult time finding pictures with Blue/Ice color from rvinyl. The optic blue from aerotect is nice, but not sure the color difference from rvinyl...

I thought the vinyl doesn't change the color output of the DRL. I called a few dealerships they won't turn off my DRL. I actually wanted to change the bulb to Super white maybe for the DRL. Since blue is illegal in NY, the DRL kinda defect the propose of vinyl.

Look like I am going to get the aerotect one, just 10 bucks more. can't go wrong when everyone tells me to lol

Was at aerotect's website and going to make the purchase but they only have the protective which is close to 100 for both fog and headlamp... isn't that a little too expensive

I finally made a purchase, my question is "will it be pain in the *** to take it off once I got it on"?

the thicker films can just peel off but you may need to heat up the film with a hair dryer first. once off, you can use some paint-safe solvent to loosen up any adhesive that may still be on there.

good luck!

it's removable if you apply enough heat on it and put some solvent on the glue. Francisco over at Aerotect took one side off last time since it had some bubbles trapped inside. He just heated it up with a heating gun and stick a plastic stick in there to pull it off while spraying it liberally with a mixture of water/soap/rubbing alcohol mixture.

If you call up Jason at aerotect and tell them you're from CL they've give you a discount price.
