Dam you LEXUS..what ever happen to great customer service and the client is always right.

You're 100% right, Lexus have bad customer service now. i have a Infiniti FX35 before my IS350 , if there's a problem, they will fix and no question ask. Damn you LEXUS.

As with any marque, 'Lexus' doesn't have direct control over its dealships/service centers. Therefore, you are going to find some bad apples, and even some bad seeds (techs, service managers, etc) within those bad apples.

However, my experience has always been great at MY lexus dealership. Whenever I have a problem, minor or otherwise, they are always more than willing to take a look, work with me to diagnose, and fix.

Long story short, Lexus corporate does a good job bringing their dealerships in line with the 'customer first' mantra, and I've heard there can be severe penalties for dealerships that don't buy in. Saying that Lexus has bad customer service is just narrow-minded and myopic. If you have problems with your dealership, find a better one.

Gave a 4 b/c as this being my first Luxury car I expected a little more in the quality of the PAINT! I know it's soft paint but it's dissapointing how easily it can be scratched.

This may or may not be relevant.
I recently had a conversation with a service writer from a local BMW dealership, and the subject of pain in the **** customers came up. He has no love for 3 series owners (excluding the M). Of all the BMW models the entry level 3 series owners are the ones that ***** and moan about every little thing, demand stuff for free and always expect a loaner, no matter what.
Its the people who spent big money, 5 series and up that are the most friendly and never complain (don't have the time or have more imprtant things to worry about)

I wonder if this is the same observation a Lexus service writer would make?
Yeah I'm sure their typical "guest" is so old they can't hear the many rattles & squeaks and never clean their own wheels anyway.

Don't kid yourself; it can and has been done in this price range. Lexus can do better.
I agree because for 2 and a half years I test drove new cars 8 hours a day 5 days a week to perfect cars before they went to car magazines for test drives. In that time I drove 100's of cars many times over the course of a model year and I can only think of 1 model that had as many issues as my 2007 IS350, the second year for this model & a $43,000 car. When does the relentless pursuit of perfection start?? None of the last 4 cars I have owned had this many problems even thou I keep my cars for 8 years average & 100,000+ miles. I have 19,000 miles on my IS and have babied it since new!

Thats why I voted 2 in this poll.

Dash rattle
squeaking drivers seat
rear view mirror vibrates
hold down springs rattle in rear brakes
weatherstrip loose underhood
foglights loose
paint chips & scratches too easily
exhaust pipes bounce up & down while driving
excessive dust from front brakes
front tires wear on inside edge

i rated 4 because of the rattles. and the seats could be better. my friend has an 08 maxima 3.5 SL and the seats feel better in his car. that's the only issues i have. some people complain of the rear view mirror vibrating is this cuz the bass of the music? that's the only time i see it move cuz of the bass in the radio playing. if you rate a 1, 2 or 3 why not trade this thing it and go get something else? didn't you people test drive you car on the street and highway. beat it up on a test drive then you know what you are getting.

Bass and open sunroof can cause rvm vibrations. TSIB helps, but doesn't completely fix it.

No car is perfect. I think the paint is easily chipped. With that said, I still get the warm and tingly feeling every time I see my car.
