Its one huge ABS Plastic piece with the Top Side finished in Metallic... the chrome bezel is permanently attached..
and
the gear shift selector is not sold seperately.. so it comes attached together..
Also, the cupholder with new door is required and comes with it as well..

^^ No problem.. Let me tell you it is a lot easier than you think... On a scale of 1-10, I give this a 5 for the average person. All you need is a screwdriver, a plastic panel trim remover for the door switches and some patience..
I would say with some shopping around, these parts can be had much cheaper..

I can do a write up, but if you search a few threads that show panel removals for the NAV, you would see that this swap out should take no longer than 1 hour, taking your time of course...
It just a matter of popping out the parts and swapping the controls / switches to the new trim pieces..

I'm looking at a few used 06 IS350s and they have the wood trim but I would like to switch to the metallic trim. Is it an easy switch?

thanks a lot joe. I was thinking about doing this because I'm not a big fan of wood trim in a luxury sport vehicle. maybe if I were driving a jaguar it'd be a different story . . .

I'll definitely look into this at my service dept.
