Maybe rear spacers would make the difference.

** Isn't that rear tire narrower than the OEM 18" tire?

yea, stock is 255/40/8
you can probably run that same size on the 45 offset
if you wan to run the 35 offset you will most likely need to stretch the tires a little bit.

yeahh stretching would be bad in the east coast with this much snow.... and... a +45 offset at the back would be nice with 10mm spacer would make it nice and flushed.. correct me if i'm wrong

Here's my set up 20X8.5 with 5mm spacer in front and 20X10 in the rear with 5mm spacer as well to push it out. no rubbing what so ever and the rear tucks especially when I have the car loaded and still no rubbing issue.

My preference is to see a wide tire (255+) on rear.

Nice wide tires, you mentioned minor rubbing with the wide wheel widths.
What offsets front/rear?

Yea, I love them, especially since they are TPMS compatible. IMO on a spring drop, you can easily do
19x8.5 35 offset 235/35/19
19x9.5 35 offset 245/35/19 or 19x9.5 45 offset 255/35/19
without any rubbing problems
