I really don't care for the BT & voice recognition thing too much. I just want it really for the integrated nav and aesthetics.

Assuming all the parts are available, how difficult is the process? I'm not exactly an expert in wiring but can follow directions decently well.

So I guess that IS250 Nav/ML system that went a few weeks back on eBay for $650 was a pretty good deal huh?

I was thinking of snagging it, but a little research said that the 250 and 350 wiring was different. Maybe it was just the fact that non-nav and nav wiring was different.

it might have been a sweet deal, but its just the headunit, you'll have to come up with the rest of the parts like mic. bluetooth, etc.....

if you can't afford a 2500 dollar option on a 40,000 car you probably arent making a very smart financial decision to buy a car in that price range to begin with.

yeah its a good deal but finding the custom harness that egusman sells will be a hassle, and he doesnt sell just the harness!

Default non-nav conversion

Hi Everyone!

Has anyone tried to install NAV in a non-nav ISX50?

Do a search... a few people have done it... expect to spend somewhere around $4000... or about 10-20 times more than an aftermarket nav system with more features costs

I did mine, but i had some problems such as phone feature not working properly and for some reason my airbag light came on, so i returned it. The person you would want to contact is lexusaudio, he is good honest person to deal with. If there is any problems he will help you all the way through.

This is a REALLY REALLY expensive upgrade. The nav screen alone is 10 grand. Plus you have to buy a new wiring harness and a bunch of other things. Its not worth it. Especially when you can buy an after market Navigation for like 300.00 bucks.

I don't know about it being 10 grand, but heres the screen on ebay for 1600. You would have to get everything else though. Prob run you around 3-4 grand with install i'm guessing

One of the service writers at Sewell in Dallas just sold a guy, who bought a GS at auction, a Nav system for his non Nav car. It was 10 grand just for parts, not including labor, but then again, thats dealer pricing. I'm sure you can find it a lot cheaper on eBay and things like that.
