Default Autobody concern

I'm wondering if i'm being too impatient or if i'm justified. This is the situation, got in an accident went to the body shop and was told the whole rear bumper needed to be replaced. I said ok, so they ordered the part and an appointment was made to begin work on the car.

3/3 I dropped my car at the shop.
3/4 was the appointment for the body shop to begin work on my car. I was told i could have it back the same day. The morning of the 4th i received a call from the shop saying that there was additional damage to the car and that they can not work on the car till the appraiser from the insurance company arrives.
3/7 the appraiser arrived and ok'ed the order to work on it.
3/11 They paint the bumper. I was wondering why are they painting it this day when they've already had the part for weeks so far. Ok so whatever, i don't know how long it takes to paint a bumper but i give them the day of the 11th to do this.
3/12 I estimate them to be doing the final work on my car.

I gave them a call today to find out the status and they've yet to return my call. I was thinking of stopping by tomorrow and speak to them in person but am i being too impatient?? Thanks for the opinions

Hopefully you selected a reputable body shop and did homework. (I made this mistake and let Progressive take it to a contractor who had me less than satisfied to say the least.)

But Man they are getting paid...and you are paying (via insurance or otherwise)!

demand a status update, you should expect no less. Unless they are all backed up, based on your timeline, it should be ready.

I chose a lexus certified bodyshop. I checked reviews of the place and all were pretty good. But man taking public transportation is a hassle after riding in a lexus lol.
