My radio reception is very poor. I knew the HID aftermarket kit would hurt the quality and if I am in a garage with them on, it sounds like that movie "White Noise" and you can hear ghosts. Alright, not really, but the reception is bad (LOL).

yup my windows are tinted but lexus had already tinted them pre-purchase. so its not metallic tint, because i know that supposedly interferes with the reception but i think i know what the problem is now...

on the way home last nite i was messing with my 3000k fogs that i had just installed about a week ago. turned them on and off a few times and notice that my radio reception wasnt great with my fog lights on.. grr so im gonna test it a few more times today, but im thinking thats the problem right now???

so my new question is... does anyone else have poor reception with their aftermarket hid fog lights when they are ON? cause that seems to be my problem and if so any solutions to fix it?

is it possible that the interference is caused by the ballasts being mounted on the metal bumper frame?\
one last question, where else have ppl mounted there ballasts for their hid fogs?. cause if there is no easy fix im gonna have to mount them else where. or maybe its the connection at the battery ahh this is frustrating

You should try getting the HD radio kit from Dice.
Here is a link.http://www.diceelectronics.com/Merch...y_Code=hd-dice

I'm going to order it soon, hopefully it works.

I have the HID kit from Mobile HID...PM Cliffud and I am sure he can be of help. I have heard its because of cheaper ballast? I am no expert on this. All I can say is I just installed and I have no issues with XM or FM. I also installed the ballast right where the Fog light assembly is. Maybe that is a better place to try to mount them?

In my experience with HD radio (admittedly that's with the Radiosophy and Cambridge table radios, not with the Dice or other car model), you need a decent signal for good results. Otherwise the radio keeps switching back-and-forth between digital and analog, or can't lock the digital signal at all.
