You likely have a pinch tear in one of the sidewall belts from hitting a curb or pothole. I probably wouldn't wait 2 months to replace it - it could blow out! As far as the spare is concerned, it's probably not the greatest idea to use it for this long (it may well wear out in 2 months).

Using a spare tire on a drive axle is not a good idea for daily driving. It will wear out the differential quick or torque converter. It is used to get you out of a bind and to a tire shop in the event of a blowout. Remember, one axle is spinning faster to in response to the smaller diameter wheel. Too bad our gen 2's did not have that full size spare like the gen 1.

i had the same problem

bubble on the sidewall of my stock dunlop tire. had about 15k miles on the tires already.

took it to my local lexus dealer and complained it was a factory defect. they examined all the tires and the wheels and concluded I did not hit or run over anything. got it replaced with a brand new tire. free car wash and full tank of gas too.

GO TO A CHEAP TIRE SHOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD NEXT TO A GAS STATION....and get a cheap (USED) tire as a temp. They cost like $25 dollars. Thats what i do lol
