well in hawaii the cheapest place to get gas is costco. and seeing how basically all the gas in hawaii is the same since we only have like 2 refineries the cheaper the better. but seeing how u have to go out of your way to get to costco sometimes i wait till 1/4 tank or lower. i dont really see why even that would be bad for your tank.

I don't let my IS350 get more than 2 miles on it ever without a fill-up. I stop from gas station to gas station when I'm going from point A to point B.
Sure it's a PITA, but OCD is a *****!

hahaha, How can one be so ODD? Wait till its at empty, unless you can't afford $50-$60 per fill-up each week. I usually buy gas when it's on "E".

The light turns on WELL before the indicator shows 0. You waited till the light turned on, waited for the indicator to hit 0 and drive an additional 15 miles. That's like saying "I walked outside looking to start a fight, then I got my *** kicked, now I don't walk outside anymore"

Where are you people getting all your info..
Below half tank it's bad for the fuel pump? They don't need to be submerged 24/7 in order for them to be cooled. Your tank sloshes around when you drive anyway. Just fill it around a quarter tank and you're golden.
You've gotta remember not all fuel pumps are built-in the tanks themselves..some are in-line w/ the fuel lines and some cars even have two because of the driveshafts coming through the tanks..so it's not rule of thumb to say that it's bad for every car.

No myth, http://www.carterfueldelivery.com/fu.../consumers.php well o.k. a little exaggeration. No quantity given but it says don't let it get really low.
