Default trading is250 awd for the is250rwd

is this a good i dea? only reason is becuase of the gas miles. i have the awd and i can only go about 300 miles b4 the dash shows i have like 30 miles left to drive. what do u guys get with the awd how far can u go? and if anyone has the rwd how far can u go with 1 tank of gas in that car? just wanna know if this is a good idea.

Average 385 miles with mine, 80% highway with cruise set on 75mph.... couldn't live in WI without AWD, would think likewise in CT (where I was born actually ) so I would say NO... HELL NO!! Keep AWD....

I'm getting 27.5mpg with about 80% highway in my 1 month old RWD auto (about 365 miles before filling up). I don't think the diff in mpg will be worth swapping out for. You'll also end up with 18" staggered wheels with summer tires, which you may or may not want in the upper NorthEast!

I agree with both of them on the MPG. I get about 330 before i fill up. I drive 50/50. Mostly stop and go in evening traffic.

I have a 2007 IS250 RWD and I get 340 miles per tank. 100% city driving.

I the highway with 20% city I have gotten 450 miles per tank.

I do not think it is with trading in your AWD for a RWD. Its not much difference in MPG, not worth it IMO. You will lose more money on the trade then you will ever save on gas.

plus think how much money you will loose in the trade...I doubt you'd be able to make up for the difference with the MPG difference...

No way you can make up for gas going from awd to rwd - maybe a straight trade to a prius?
