isn't this Plug & Play with the wire harness that they supply with the Kit? I am considering this and was reading up on it. Please let me know when you have a chance or PM me. Did you have to cut any wires? I know when i installed the side turn signals on my car that they said to ground to the turn signal wire and that wouldnt work. Had to ground it to the car...

Thanks, Look forward to some pics also!

passnu2, you're right, there is a wire harness that comes with the kit. it looks like this:

Also, you should be able to install the kit without cutting any wires.

so why the hard wire to the battery? Shouldn't it just work with this harness?

because often times the OEM wires do not have a sufficient power/ground connection to power the ballasts and it's not really ideal to draw power from your OEM electrical system and have every other 12v component compete with your ballasts for power from your factory fuse boxes.

with a dedicated line, you're good to go, no worries. think of it like adding an aftermarket amp for a big sub in the trunk. you use a dedicated power line just the same way.

thanks!

c.
