Car flipped several times. My roommate and I walked out of this accident. Only injury was a minor head laceration.

Ouch!!! There goes the 2IS curses again. This is probably the worst I've seen on an IS. Poor car. Glad you're both ok and looks like the rims ok too.

OMG!!! Glad you two have no major injury!!

What the heck were you doing to cause the IS to "flip several times"?

Yes, it is reassuring that the IS has safety built into it. My Vette would not fair nearly as good.

8 staples in the head.

Was coming around on a left curve in the road. Rear right wheel caught some gravel, slipped, and the car started fishtailing. No room nor time to correct and we hit the embankment on the other side at about a 30 degree angle. Then we flipped a couple times and the car landed on the driver side.

I wonder if the VDIM would have made a difference!

It might have, just depends on what the brain was telling the foot to do. Brain probably was bracing for impact and might have pressed the gas. Correct me if I am wrong 250 dont have VDIM.

Glad you and your roomate are ok (relatively speaking).

May I as what road you were traveling?

Looked in the OM and only the 350 do. Maybe the 250 should have them too

The IS250 has stability control, though it's a less sophisticated system called "VSC" rather than "VDIM".
