Just placed an order for a 350 with X - package. They are not normally built for the Southeast so I need to wait 3-4 months.
Should be fun!!

It's better to order. Then you won't pay all that money for a car that has sat in the showroom/lot that everyone has poked around in. The IS I test drove off the lot (and yes I got to choose the one I wanted to test drive) already had the tire pressure warning come on when I first started the car and a scratched navigation screen. Stupid bozo dealer tried to sell me that one, but nope...I ended up getting the same car by order; I drove it off the lot right after it was released from the flat bed truck.

There is a black IS350 new with the X-Package at Lexus of Orland Park, IL. I just seen one there an hour ago. Maybe fly into Midway airport and drive it home, the weather is fine now and could be a fun road trip. This way, you won't have to wait three months.

Check out this link: particularly entry #9. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=318886
My X-package car was ordered on 9/25/07 according to paperwork. The car arrived at the dealership on 1/31/08. So this timeline concurs with the "20th/21st of the month" scenario.
The wait makes delivery even more gratifying. And that car is exactly the way I wanted it and had 8 miles on the odometer at delivery. Good things do take time!

Does another dealer have a car that can be shipped? Otherwise, just keep telling yourself that months after you've been driving it that the wait will be well worth it, especially since you'll have it for years. When buying an IS, it is not the time to settle.
