I also added the factor "im still young, I might want something else in the future" So instead of the 350 i would move on up to the IS-F or im really ballin in 5 years or so.. LF-A

I didn't know that the 250 existed when I put the special order in!

Looking back, even if I had known that the 250 existed, I would not pay that much $$$ for only 200-something horses.

1. Commute Car
2. Better Class for corporate world & Personal business clientels
4. 4 Door Sedan
5. RWD
6. MPG

We already have the Modded G35C, so we don't see the need of spending too much on the IS. Also, we know that we'd put a lot of millage (which we did - 45K 2yr) so we chose the IS250 instead.

Though sometimes I wish I got the IS350. But I'm fine in the IS250, it's comfort and a nice family car with great gas millage.

AWD. Tired of parking on the street because I can't get up my driveway in the snow. Double the HP of my previous rides, so I'd still get the 250 and put the thousands saved into every option package, keeping me completely satisfied with my choice. I built it my way.

the main reason i got the 350 over the 250 was the power.
i had considered getting the 250 bc it was manual but ended up with the 350.

besides power, sports package.

for some reason, i couldn't find an is250 w/ the sports package, so i opted for the is350. of course, the way lexus packaged socal allocations, i had to get the ML and nav along w/ the sports package. but then again, i would choose the same if given a second try.

So in other words - power...lol

also I find it very interesting that ...the want for a manual overrides the want for signifcantly more power...thats something I didnt think of...

please keep the comments coming

AWD for me. I plan on keeping the car for a while (want something safe) and I have a fairly long commute to work (wanted the comfort/luxury of a Lexus). Since I'm upgrading from a Corolla this is more than enough power for the moment, is decent on gas mileage and has LOTS OF TOYS!

If money isn't an issue and if Lexus offers it here, I'll get a 350 no doubt.

Both are great cars. However, drive them back to back and the power of the IS350 simply dwarfs that of the IS250. To me, the choice was clear. Not that I am playing speed racer, but when the power is needed (ie. passing, merging onto the interstate...), the IS350 accomplishes the task with ease.

If I really needed AWD, I would have passed on the IS250. IMHO, not enough oomph.

BTW...You want to speak of power, you should see my 08 Vette with 436hp! It is difficult enough driving the IS350 with "only" 300+hp. I couldn't imagine the IS250...> "get out and push" would be the feeling.
