Hey everyone i just got my wife a new is250 rwd last week and im already looking to change it up a bit. The car is tungsten pearl and my 1st ? is does anyone have any pics of the stock 18'' wheels painted? I dont really like that the wheels and the car are the same color. And my 2nd ? is has anyone found a way to hook up sirius sat radio up yet my local car toys told me the unit i needed was not out yet. Thanks in advance for your help.

It's kind of funny but I actually back then was trying to get it painted the same color the 08 IS's. Should of just waited a year

XM is plug n play... if you have to have sirius explicitly well Lexus was going to have a unit out for the 08s but rumor is the quality of the unit was poor... do a search and you'll likely find a thread or two on this... you might be able to find someone selling that unit but I'm not sure if you'd want it... other than that you'd need to go aftermarket.

painting your stock wheels silver would be a waste of the new 08 finish. You are better off selling those and picking up a set of 07 take offs from someone else.

The 06/07 stock wheels are almost identical to tungsten pearl.

to the OP:

1. assuming they're gunmetal-colored, keep'em. it'll be a shame if you paint them.
2. VAIStech should have something for you to hook up satellite radio; check out their website: www.vaistech.com

I just bought a 2008 Lexus is250 too, and when i bought it the salesman threw in free XM satalite installation for free. And i dont know if i have the same wheels as you...I've been told they're different from stock. Any pix??

hey guys thanks for all the replies. my car is a 07 just to clear a few things up and that's why i want to paint the wheels i cant stand that there is no contrast between the wheels and the car. And yes i plan on going aftermarket at some point i just thought i would at least wear out the tires half way before replacing. plus I'm buying another bike soon so money is going elsewhere.

when the salesman talks about ur car having upgraded rims it means that u have the 18" rims which just about every 2IS i see has EXCEPT the awd models which have the 17" stocks
