DVD/NAVI Override Kit and Vaistech SL2vi Ipod integration kit installed on a non-ML

yes, it works with the 6 disc cd-changer. to play mp3s from the ipod, the vaistech unit emulates a cd-changer, so i just hit the disc/aux button with the ipod connected to play mp3s. if i want to access my cd-changer, then i just hit the disc/aux button again and it switches to the cds.

the dvd/navi override kit can be purchased from Prestigious Society, one of the CL venders here. it allows you to do the nav hack WITHOUT cutting wires. it's very similar to those who have installed a switch with the navhack wire cutting method. hit the nav switch and you can enter addresses while driving. with the switch off, everything is normal.

so do you have to press nav to see the navigation, and TV to watch video? meaning u cant have them both together

TV switch allows you to watch video while in motion, navigation is working normally. You can switch to navigation anytime while the video is playing. Nav switch is basically the nav hack which allows you to enter addresses while in motion. The GPS is temporarily cut off while the nav switch is on to allow you enter addresses in motion. Pressing the nav switch again and GPS is re-enabled and navigation returns to normal. You have 5 minutes to enter an address with the nav switch on. After 5 minutes, the nav switch automatical reverts back to normal navigation if you don't hit the nav switch again manually to return to normal.

Nice pics "anguyen45"...
Glad to see your happy with the install & that everything is working perfectly!!
Both of these kits are perfect Plug & Play solutions for those who do not want to hack ANY of the oem wiring...
Another side note is that if you ever decide to sell or trade in your car, you can remove & sell these units separately...

right now the dvd/navi hack kit is 350 and vaistech ipod kit is 350, you may be able to get it cheaper if there is a group buy on any of these in the future

NICE great job with the install.
I want to do this but still fighting with my self about the cost of the kits.
How long do you think the install would take for someone who has done some head unit swaps/plug and play before?
