Question Re: acessories/ blk pearl emblem..

Has anyone put the "black pearl emblem" [sewell lexus] package for the IS? How does it compare to the stock chrome? worth getting? look better?....

also thinking of geting the aluminum sport pedals & illuminated front door sills for my IS250 as well.

can we get the sharkfin antenna for the IS250?

I've got them and love them. I think a lot depends on the color of the car, but it totally changed the rear end of mine.

I will say that when looking at pictures, note that the badges look different depending on the lighting and the exterior color of the car. Mine sometimes look almost as shiny and noticeable as the stock chrome ones (although a little darker), and at other times they look almost invisible, until you're literally right up on the bumper.

In terms of them being worth the money: that's all up to you, because some people may say yes and some may say no.

I think they look the best on a white or silver car....on another note having a BLK car I would like to see how yours looks. Do you have a photo you can post here?
Thanks

Here's a pic of the front on a cloudy day. You can see how it blends with the grill slats, vs being shiny like the surround

BTW, BOP is actually blue, not blk.

are there holes in the trunk lid after you take off the stock badging?

or is it just held on by some double sided tape?

Yes and Yes. There are some alignment holes for the L badge and the "lexus" badge, and I believe behind the "S" and one of the numbers (can't remember which). But, it's made to be held on with double face tape. but, my black pearl "lexus" badge didn't have any alignment pins in it.

I don't have any pics of the holes, but I know that there is a post showing them. I would just try a search for them.

Here's the post showing which emblems have the alignment pins, and how big they are.
