Amp/Sub finally installed...
Finally got all the parts i needed, and installed my sub/amp the other night. The amp is a Diamond Audio D3 800.1 mono block amp, 610watts rms @ 2ohm. The sub is a 10" Kicker L7 in a small sealed box. I used a Kicker 4GA amp wiring kit, which was excellent quality! Used a PAC Trunk-LOC line output converter, and Monster Cable M1000i RCA's.
Results: Extemely happy with the sound! Hits hard and tight, no dimming lights or anything like that. Fit was perfect. Here are a couple pics.. also put in my JoeZ pipe at the same time

how does it sounds in general your system? don't you feel that the rest of the speakers are lacking some power to go together @ the same level with your sub? Just wondering.....kind of want to do the same but not sure about the speakers.....and I do not want to change them....TOO MANY!
Thanks and congratz on your set-up!

Yea, the sub is still facing the same direction. I had it rear facing at first, and it seems to give me the best sound. I wouldnt want a ported box, sealed gives a tighter stronger bass. I didnt want something that was boomy. Its pretty awesome, cause at full crank, you can barely hear the sub from outside the car, but it sounds insane inside. Exactly what i was going for

Theres no reason why the stock speakers would blow But im sure the dealership wouldnt look kindly on the fact that the line output converter taps into the wires coming from the stock amp. Even though i dont think it could be linked to its failure if it ever failed... it'd be a hassle.
