Cracked my navigation screen moving some stuff in the car.. eeeh.
I took the unit apart, it appears the navigation portion is made by denso and the screen is made by Toshiba Matsu****a Display Technology PN LTA070B511F. I called around to a few places and was unable to locate this part. I'm debating on whether I should send this unit in to a touchscreen repair shop. "Montech Inc". They want $75 bucks just to look at it, which I guess is better then $6100 to repair.
Has anyone else replaced their in dash units with after market? If so what did you do with your AC controls?
I appreciate everyone's help.

Wow, that is a scary thing to see.
Pay $75 to let them look at it, and pay $$$ for them to repair/replace it. With that $75, they should be able to tell you if they can find you a cheaper one than Lexus.
Also, you can try to ask a shop to order o/e parts for you. It may be cheaper, or try our club vendors like Sewell or L-tuned.

Sorry to hear about that! You're not covered by insurance for that damage?
That will be nasty to locate a replacement. (duh)
I tried replacing a lcd for a laptop in the past I had a terrible time doing that for cheap. Those guys that want $75 just to look at it I wonder what they can do I don't think you can repair them, you need a replacement screen. They can't tell you over the phone if they can order a unit for you without charging you $75?
The listings you're interested in on eBay won't list the lcd identifier (LTA070B511F). I also wonder if that identifier is just the lcd or the lcd and touchscreen. I can't even find a datasheet for that.
If you're trying to do it youself for cheap I think your best bet is trying to get the touchscreen/lcd from another toyota product of about the same model year. Try looking for panels and navi units from a late model Prius or something. But you're going to run the risk that it isn't compatible and waste some money. If that doesn't work you're going to have to look for a lexus navi unit.

Well I figured this much out with some help from a supply house.
LTA 070B Means 7"
511F is the touch panel portion that covers the screen.
So now i'm out to find the touch panel.
Also found a company over in Mumbai, who is trying to locate the part.
What would need to be done to go aftermarket with this. I have a Pioneer Avic- Z3 unit I could put in, but that limits my control of the Temperature. Has anyone gone aftermarket? Think this could be done.

I was looking on ebay, and came across this unit for a 06-08 lexus is250/350. When I took my unit out it stated DENSO on the sticker, the one on EBAY says Pioneer.
