Default people with body kits..please chime in!

hello everyone~
I was just wondering..

is your bodykit made out of fiberglass? polyurethane?

i know fiberglass is alot cheaper than polyurethane,,right?
(please correct me if I'm wrong)

but polyurethane is much stronger than fiberglass..right?

I'm trying to buy
a spoiler (probably WALD spoiler)
roof spoiler
rear lip for the rear bumper (either Ings or Wald)

and I wanna make sure that I buy the right one..and I want to know
if these kits come in in both Polyurethane and Fiberglass..
and I'll appreciate if you could tell me where you bought them from

thanks for your help and for your time..

ps: i did a search and could not find anything..I found a link that shows all the bodykits but it didn't really say if it was made of fiberglass or polyurethane

I have the full Tom's kit and it's made out of ABS plastic. I thought most kits are made out of ABS plastic?

My front lip wouldn't last me more than a day if it was made out of fiberglass since I scrape on a regular basis. I don't like fiberglass & CF for that reason...they crack/shatter easily.

I'm asking this for the same reason..
I don't wanna get a front lip that's made out of fiberglass since it won't last me that long

so I'm assuming that Fabulous / Ings / Wald front lips are all made out of
ABC plastic or something other than FIBERGLASS, right??

thanks again

That is my main concern with the WALD and Fabulous front Lips. Im planning to get the Wald front lip, but im concerned because ive scraped my OEM lip a few times now Plus im planning to get some coilovers to

I have Eibach pro-kit on my car now and with the Tom's front lip, I have very little clearance. I'm not sure how much clearance I have but basically, a soda can can't be placed under the front lip which means I have less than 12" from the bottom of the lip to the ground. So if you're gonna go really low with coilovers, I recommend you get a front lip made out of ABS plastic.

man...that sucks..
I mean, I'll be getting the rear bumper lips first so it shouldn't really matter
if it's made of fiberglass or not..

I think you should be ok getting the rear and sides made out of fiberglass. The front, I'd definitely stick with ABS plastic.

I wonder if a clear bra all the way around could help with the car scraping.

@OP: the nextm*d replica is made out of ABS if you want the fabulous front lip.

I still want the wald front lip haha

The clear bra is to prevent rock chips. If you scrape hard enough, the fiberglass front lip will crack/shatter completely. No clear bra is gonna help you on that one.

Another option is that if you get a fiberglass front lip, go super duper slow and angle like crazy on steep driveways/speedbumps so that you won't scrape. I'm sure that if I was super careful, I wouldn't scrape nearly as often as I do but I'm just simply lazy. LOL
