-I am wondering if anyone knows if its possible to have the foglight on and headlights off?

Yes there is a few who did it but wont share how they are like dead

-Would you prefer 9006 or HID for fog lights?
Hid like others mobile ones are cheapest and good there is also Xeondepot which is a bit more

-3000k or 6000k on a smoky granite for fog lights?
i say 3000k for a good yellowish look but to match stock 4,300 or 6000k

-Has anyone tried to install a DVD player on a non ML car. I have navi though but I really wish I have the DVD option. I didn't want to shed out $3k extra for it.
Like others said you can buy the Plug and play kit or do an override there is a thread here

-For the Tail light, which one would you prefer to get rid of the amber piece. Should I get red JDM spray or red vinyl from ebay.
i would say get the Vinyl. I got mines from Rockblocker off Acurazine but Rvinyl or Aerotech is good too.

-For the reflector under the tail light, how do you guys black it out?
There are people who put carbonfiber pieces to cover it or they smoke it.

Also that is a steal I got my 250 back in 07 for 40k otd with xpack and navi
I am also from Acurazine what Acura did you come from?

I was also from acurazine. I had an 07 tl-s that I thought I was happy with. I got the 350 and haven't looked back. I think the Acura performance was Better like the available standard transmission on the tl or the paddle shifters found on the tl. They Actually work the way I would expect them to. However the ride in the IS is much better for daily driving, and the horsepower is higher according to the tests. I haven't actually raced a tl-s yet, but I am looking forward to it. I think it will be close for sure.

Overall I am very happy so far with the change. I just wish there were more performance mods for this car.

I have navi, rear spoiler, preferred accessory package for $38.500.

Does anyone have more information on the Ipod adapter playing videos straight to the navi?

Is this the unit I need to get and install?

Vais tech unit?

The vinyl from rvinyl seems like it shows some amber still. I might give the JDM spray a try. And $17shipped seems kind of expensive IMO.

You can check out this thread for the i-Pod kit and the much needed Nav overide kit... for an IS350 with Nav and no ML

My wife's car has a brand new 2008 portable nav unit, and mine is every bit as current as hers...I don't find it to be 90s-era at all.
All of those on-screen functions are still there without nav. You just use these weird things called "buttons"

I'm sorry your wife bought a crappy GPS :P

The Garmin 660 for $303 at amazon for example (as of yesterday at least) does a slew of things hers (and your $2500 in car one) do not... realtime traffic being the most useful, but it'll also store and play audiobooks, let you setup routes and POIs on your PC and download them, you can even add language translation and travel guides if you take it overseas. And that's just a $300 one... There's $500 ones that do even more (like find the best price on gas nearest you, find current movie times in theatres near your current location, and more).

Seriously, the OEM lexus unit is a fantastic example of a GPS from 5-10 years ago.... but the only thing current on it is the maps (and even then they charge you 2-3 times what Garmin does when you want new ones) and they're still charging like the aftermarket doesn't exist.
