I have an 08' IS 250 AWD. Im in NYC so im pretty much 100% city driving. I typically get 17-18 mpg zipping around town which is a bit disappointing since the posted mpg is 20 city and 26 hwy. I do have a bit of a heavy foot though and like to gun it once in a while. I just recently tried using ECT snow mode and now Im getting 20-21 mpg but it makes the car feel so sluggish. Hows everyone's mpg?

IS350... about 14-16 city and 22-27 highway (usually closer to 22 unless its on a trip over 80 miles)... I average a combined of about 18 mpg

is250, about 90% highway driving. i've gotten 32 mpg on highway before, but combined average is around 27 mpg.

I did pretty much 100% city driving (San Francisco) with my IS, and got 13-14 MPG.

I drive 90% city 10% freeway... average 21 overall. I can get 30mpg on the freeway on a long trip, with the cruise set at 75... Around town its usually 16-18mpg. Up until i pulled the battery in my car to do my stereo, my overall average was 21.8mpg. Now its 18mpg cause i havent been on the freeway since.

I'm with you. I get 19-21, as I get to do a little hwy driving. I've tried the Snow Mode, but it makes driving the car almost unbearable--worse than the Corolla rental I have now.

Over the last 3 weeks I have been averaging between 26-27mpg in my 350. I drive about 20/80 cty/hwy. I coast on the exit ramps and when approaching red lights, it doesn't pay to hurry up and stop. I also take it easy leaving stops lights.

I started watching the instant mpg gauge and try to keep it above 30 as much much as possible. Before I started doing this I was between 23-24.

After a fair amount of speeding tickets, I no longer go over 75...usually around 72. I do 70% highway and 30% back roads and average 25MPG.
strictly highway, I can get 29-30. I haven't reset my average MPG since my dealer took apart my dash 8,000 miles ago, and its reading 25.2MPG. Also...when I fill up in the summer, the best reading I have gotten in 402 miles until empty.

Took a trip from Boston to Maine this winter, and was over 30MPG for the 250 mile trip. The second I got to my house at mile 252....it went to 29.9! It wouldn't let me have it!! haha

I think around the city, there is a significant advantage to the 250, but on the highway, its minimal. The 350 has so much power it never has to downshift. I did the math one time, and it was like $300 extra per year based on 18,000 miles between the 350 and the 250. I'll pay that!!!

i mostly drive in the city..i take it easy most of the time and i get 18/19. over the cars life (1 year), id say ive driven about 25% highway and 75% city and my overall average is 20.1. i usually have the transmission in sport mode. im sure it would do a little better if i were to use normal mode.
