Default Low Profile Tires on Stock 18's

Would it be safe to get some thinner or lower profile tires than the stock IS tires? Id like to use the Tein S springs & get some lower profile tires, is this safe to do?

I wouldnt go any smaller than stock... no need to. With stock tires/wheels and lowering springs, you wont rub.

There is no way that is safe, you will blow your car up if you go with smaller tires.

don't put a smaller OD tire on than stock, it will throw off your speedo and look silly. if you want a small low profile tire, do it right and buy some 19" wheels and tires to go along with your new suspension..

you can do it. you're speedometer will read faster and it will affect the mileage as well.

on the plus side, your car will be a bit quicker.

You mean this is a probable effect of reducing the tire size?
