Default Tire problems had to take off wheels.

A couple of months ago I had to take off my wheels because I was having problems with my front tires splitting. First it started with my front right tire (splitting on the side wall on the inside of tire). Didn't think anything of it, so I purchase a new one and kept rolling. Then after washing the car one day I noticed that the same tire was splitting again except on the outside of the side wall. Didn't have the money to take care of this so again I kept rolling and then about a week or so later, the opposite tire in the front goes flat and its the same problem. So I just took all the wheel/tires off and went back to stock.

I wanted to ask you guys/gals whats going on. I think its the sidewall height of the tires. I noticed when I bought the wheels that I didn't have very much side wall at all. The wheel lips practically touching the ground. The tire size I was running was 225/30/20 in the front (rear tires no problems 255/30/20). Should I go with a taller sidewall like a 35 or 40? Would this help my situation at all? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Could be due to driving style... I was going to say defective tire, but doesn't seem like this is the case. I am on 20s with 245/30 and 275/30, my tires are still perfect.

That sounds about right. Any suggestions on what weight rated tire to purchase?
