Default Oem Hid???

I have a OEM HID 4300 on my IS, and i would like to have the 8000k HID

Do i need to buy a whole 8000 HID kit or just change the bulb and get a 8000k bulb without changing the OEM HID kit??

Thanks

All you gotta do is just buy a set of D4S bulbs only. No need for a kit.

Wow thanks alot. What is the best kit out there that last long and have the most accurate 8000k light, because i heard that some companies said its 8000k bulb or HID kit and the color that it produce is wayyyyyyyyyy off than the real color

Hehe, ok...at least you're honest. I think you don't want to go too cheap on HIDs....as you say, one brand's 8000k can be different from another's, and you don't want to have to buy new ones every 4 months when yours blow out.

Have you tried a search? I know there are a ton of lighting threads, but I haven't honestly spent any time looking at them for your specific questions.

Dont get it from ebay....they are not accurate...(Color temperature wise) I can tell you that the ones I bought from mobilehid.com is also not as accurate. Haven't tried xenondepot.com, they don't ship to PO Box and their picture looks like its similar to mobilehid.com. I think its alot safer to get it from xenonvalot.com.

XenonDepot is a vendor here at CL and has a very good reputation. Don't judge a book by its.....picture. Just ask around here and you'll find plenty of people who can vouch for that.

Have you tried them, i mean the one from XenonDepot??

Do you also think i could possibly find an exact compration between a 8000k and 6000k of the same car from the same area, cuz all the pics that i have found so far are either compration of totally diffrent cars and different kit,or same IS but the shots have been taking form diffrent position which make it almost impossble to judge

If I were to get another pair, first I would ask the seller where the bulbs are made from.....think its safe if it were from japan/europe.....don't get those cheap made in china ones....my headlights are 8000k and my fogs are 6000k
you can tell the difference with the headlights, not as blue, its more of a purplish color.....let me know if you want to see more pictures...

I haven't personally tried their service, but have seen many happy CLers singing their praises. To be honest, pictures don't really do HIDs justice, you might have better luck finding someone in your area to show you what they've got.

Hello,

Our D4S bulbs are made in Japan. I'm not sure if you know this but we do offer CL members discounts on our D4 bulbs. Please type in this coupon code upon checkout to get a $30/discount per bulb:

CLGB08

Here is the link to the actual product page:

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Xtreme_HID.../xt-d4s-8k.htm

Hope this helps,

Steve
