For me, it's as easy as sitting in each, and realizing that there was nothing special about the AUDI interior, and that for some reason, the Lexus interior is just such a nice place to be.

Both Audi (in general) and the IS steering feels vague to me. If I bought an IS, it'd be for comfort, reliability, smoothness, but definitely not steering feel. I do wish it had more, because it could have been in my driveway by now!

even the ISF has poor steering feel, even fifth gear and top gear pointed that out, though it is a fun car and to have a car that fast and THIS reliable...that's not bad....I'd like anyone else to point out a comfortable, very fast, sportscar that is as reliable as a lexus(toyota)

look up youtube video the steering and suspension has been upgrade for the 2011 and has an identical lap time as the 2011 m3.

but to get back on topic i do like my interior of my is350 but it gets boring after a while... but maybe its because my is350 is uneventful.. which means i haven't had anything to do besides oil changes/filter and brake fluid changes. im at 50k and even haven't changed my rotors yet.

Don't get me wrong... I agree that the IS has vague steering (it's no BMW), but in comparison to Audi's much worse vague steering, it makes the Lexus seem better in comparison.

Lexus targeted the M3 to start with, and they have upgraded the ISF every year to catch the M3 in handling... as mentioned above... they did in 2011... Having driven the 2011 ISF... they have a great "steering feel" and are not "vague" at all. Now to get my 08 IS350 there

Sure the lex has great numbers, but Ive found that "numbers" don't let you enjoy a drive in the country like the Audi does.

I am just going to start advocating people by the other car when then ask--we are biased toward the Lex!

but in all seriousness, the maintenance of an Audi is a scarry thing, they just don't have the reliability. That keeps me away from them, but nice looking cars with great interiors!

I'm with Brian on this.... As much as I love Audi's, I honestly CANNOT give up the reliability factor in this economy. Besides, the the new IS350 F-Sport looks SICK!!! Go for the Lexus for all-around luxury.

To sum it up...most of us if not all of us wants the drop dead good looks of the Audi's exterior with the lexus IS350 guts. Well... that's what I want.

Really? I drove the A5 and A6 prior to buying the IS350 and I felt the opposite as you! Oh well, to each their own.
