Default Already trading...

So when I bought my IS350 towards the end of last year I didn't expect to be doing so much driving. I've also decided to go back to school. Although I've never had love for a car like I do this one, I've decided to give it up already. I'm looking at an '08 Honda Civic Hybrid. Anyways, I paid almost 42k for my car off the truck. And I've loaded up 6600 miles on it. Curious what you guys think I should get for mine. If it's worth waiting and trying to sell private party. Or just trade. The Honda dealership would give me about 34k for it. It's pretty much the sport package, a couple differences. And I havn't done much to it. Wheels are still almost new. I did the clear bra and a few little things here and there that won't make a difference. What do you guys think? I need advice from my second brain. Thanks for any help!

$34k is not bad for a trade in.

Try selling privately for $36-37k and see how it goes. Not to many people want to buy a expensive car these days due to the economy and gas prices.

Good luck on the sale.

Exactly why I'm trading down... There also aren't as many around OR compared to CA or even WA.

dont forget the tax credit if you trade. Its almost a wash if 34/35 is trade and 36/37 is private. I would trade. Just call a few dealers and see what they will give for the car and see if you can better the deal. Ask the lexus dealer if they are interested and for how much. They can buy the car from the Honda dealer.

There will be plenty of opportunities to get a car again down the road

I would try to sell to a private party. I would think you could get more than $34k, but it may take a while longer.

i would try and sell private party, youll get plenty more than a trade-in prob, especially goin down from $42k-$34k, thats a lot

maybe try and private sell to canada? not sure about is350s, but awd is250s are easy to sell up there, especially for a good price

Take your IS down to your local Carmax, if you have one , I know a few CL members that got suprisingly good quotes. Good luck !
