Just curious, I really want to get my hands on their SL2i or SL2Vi adapter but im just waiting for a GB to come around. Would the OEM Lexus adapter work the same? And how hard would the install be. Lexus Stevens Creek parts quoted me a total of 700 for parts and install.

Putnam lexus quoted me $700 also. Rip off. I tried mentioning other members been getting it for only $300 installed but they said that it must been a mistake. They said it cost $500 for the unit itself so they are loosing money. I smell BS.

The iPod unit from Lexus costs 300 from Stevens Creek but another 400 for probably 1 hour of labor? BS! I guess ill wait for the vaistech and figure how to install it in myself.

This is what i am most concerned with too. i have the SL2i and am very happy with it but i wish i could use the controls on the nav screen while driving. i know lexus disables this feature for safety but to me it seems less safe to look at a small ipod screen while using the little scroll buttons on it.

in short, will the new updated kit have the same audio control as if you have a nav hack kit installed, thus allowing in motion control?

if it does that as well as having those new features i will totally buy one if a GB is presented to CL members.
