Default question about painters tape

ive seen some people use it while they are at the track, im making taking my 250 for a long trip today and im concerned about getting more paint chips , would painters tape do any damage to my hood if left in the hot sun all day?

A nice L logo and make sure you add a few numbers on the sides to add 10+HP

Just do it. It's crazy fun I did it to my trip down to so cal.
When I got down there. I just had to take the tape off and bam! almost completely CLEAN car without stupid bugs being burned onto the front too. It takes hella time but you can have fun with it too

I'm going on a long road trip tomorrow. I plan on using painter's tape on the front end. Does it matter if the car is dirty or not when putting on painters tape? My car is a little bit dusty right now. Should I wash it first before sticking on painter's tape?

lol of course clean your car, everytime you leave the garage you should be CLEAN besides if you got dirt under the tape, you'll just scratch the paint thus defeating the purpose of putting it on in the first place.

When I was at the IS-F track event last weekend, they taped the front lip of the car with painters tape in order to reduce scraping if cones were hit. This was a smart move. If there is residue, it can be removed with soapy water or Goo Gone.
