Default Lexus UV glass

Does anyone know the UV rejection rate for our 2IS windows? I wanted to tint but my main purposes are heat and UV rejections. Since the glasses are UV glass I'd save some money and not tint the windows at all.

i'm not sure about this but i tinted my windows with Huper Optik Ceramic tints anyway.

I'm only aware of most, if not all, Lexus vehicles come with tinted sunroofs windows at 20% or so.

The IS comes with 70% tint from the factory on all windows except for the front windshield, which is 78%, and the sunroof, which is 20%.

Got to hand it to Lexus for the "Privacy Glass" on the 2gen. It appears to have a minor tint and really works well to avoid a little glare. I noticed this immediately when I bought it. More titnt is still needed (LOL).

I agree with Brian for once, the tints need to be darker.

Its not really "Privacy tints" IMO because its still not dark enough to do naughty things such as, *cough* rolling (of course i know nothing about that

And further more, def. not privacy enough for those 10 O'clock Parking lot cuddle sessions

I actually like the UV tint we already have in our cars. it really does make a difference when its sunny outside although very minimal.

I believe ceramic tint will provide the most heat reduction, since there isnt any metal particles in the tint, to reheat.

if you want to want tint your windows you can get 70% tint too

Back on topic: OP...if you would like a little more sun protection, I think it would be good to go with a darker tint.
