HA! I'm glad to hear it's only a loaner car; I thought you had traded your IS for a Yaris after reading the thread headline. Have fun with it!

Q: What do you call a Yaris with dual exhaust?
A: A Wheelbarrow!

I thought it was funny, but then again, when I travel, I rent the nicest roller-skate they have to obtain the best mpg's.

The dealership down here only uses the ES, GS and RX as loaners, but I've been to other dealers that don't even give loaners, so I guess a Yaris is better than nothing, besides with gas closing to hitting $4 a gallon (maybe I should consider myself lucky at that price ), you'll be saving yourself a pretty penny.

I too have seen PT Cruisers with Mercedes Loaner Car written on it in the Chicagoland area. They must do this not only to cut costs, but to make the customer really appreciate their vehicle upon return (LOL).

At least you know you're using the machine at 10/10ths of ability, because at that point you're only going 55mph anyways =)

Most of the time they have a lexus loaner, I'd drive away if they stuck in a crap rental.

By the title of the thread i also thought you traded the IS to a yaris.. Whew.
I wouldn't mind driving a yaris right now since gas is crazy. In Cali we are setting some record breaking prices...

Yes, it is becoming very bad in Chicagoland. I just saw $4.40 for premium in the city limits. It's becoming that time where I need that Dumb and Dumber scooter to totally redeem myself.
