Default HELP!! IS350 Headlight PROBLEM

HELP!! IS350 Headlight PROBLEM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Guys,
I have an IS300 2008 model, this is middle east version similar to IS 250 or 350. the car is full option, HID xenon factory and all... So i was trying to install HID Kit on the High beams, and did so, but i thought putting the dust cover was not important, so a couple days passed i took it to the car wash and then the problem started. my factory xenon proj. started acting weird in a sense it would turn on sometimes but then it wouldnt, then the next day i saw water in the head light, light kept on doing the same.. on or off sometimes

The STUPID PART:
I thought i would dry the water out, and install back the halogen high beams, to my stupidity I started to blow dry the headlight assembly, the water dried, i am not sure if i was too close to the assembly or something.. the Low Beam factory xenon does not work any more

The level and turning of the projector still works fine. I am not sure what to do now.

MY THOUGHT
I am thinking to take the headlight out and check for current to the ballast in and out, but I do not know how to take the headlight, I am an engineering major but some pics of how to do it would help a lot. Or if this remedy is stupid like my older ideas please HELP OUT in need of it real bad.

I hope people can help me here

Thank you Guys

Mike is right, I will help you rectify this issue and I know exactly the cause. Those dust covers are vital to sealing the headlight composite assembly. I have developed a trick to aid in water removal. PM me!!

Hi mike!
Honestly Richie, looks like you are buying a 350 and they are more likely to have HID standard in the option packages available. I would make sure to get HID factory to avoid this issue. You can always swap out the 4300k OEM bulbs for 6000k and not have any moisture issues like us guys who mod the factory housing and dust covers. Luckily, I figured out the source and no longer have moisture issues. Always keep the dust covers on.

Default Need advice!!! 2007 is350 headlight issue!!

What's up everyone! Got a 07 is350. Just started having headlight issues. My passenger headlight would randomly shut off while driving. Had to switch it off and on to get it back on. But, now it would just be off.

First, I thought my stock ballast went out. But I switch the driverside bulb to the passengerside and the light would stay on. So I know its not the ballast for sure.
Secondly, I got new bulbs (D4S) from dude from craigslist. I thought it would fix the problem but same thing it would turn on for a couple of seconds and shut off. I even switched out the both bulbs and both bulbs would shut off. Now I'm thinking this dude gave me some bad bulbs!! Should I get an OEM Bulb from the dealership?
Lastly, some of my co workers said that it might be my headlight relay? Is there a way to test that? I look at the fuse and everything seems to be fine.

I completely don't know what it could be? I need some advice asap? Should I get the OEM bulb or go straight aftermarket hids? Don't want to get a fix ticket! Gotten away a couple times already!! Lol!!
