Well keep in mind Prestigious Society is an approved CL vendor & they include a 1 year warranty on the product they import from Japan.....

If your lucky, i think the ebay vendor has a 30 day warranty..

Yeah.. that came and went months ago...

Your looking about this all wrong...

The unit sells for $349 (plus CA tax & shipping)... It comes with a 1yr warranty..

If you like buying things on ebay ($220 plus whatever) then you will pay lower prices and you get less of a warranty time period on the unit..

The product from PS themselves, they will backup their products. I bet you if something happens in 2 years PS will still attempt to help you as eBay will Not. If the product is damaged in the shipping or doesnt work, Who you going to fall back on?

Its really up to you, but calling a company who aims to provide this forum support and the members products and calling the vendor a rip off isnt very nice.
if you dont like the price, thats fine as well just go with what you think is best for yourself.

Personally: i dont care, haha i dont think i will be getting the override kit, I have no use for it yet.

my 2 cent.

I was very pleased with the level of service provided by PS. The company that makes the override kit for the IS also makes it for many different models. Since I can't read Japanese very well, it was nice to know that the correct spec unit was shipped and worked as promised. I would not have the same comfort level from e-bay. Too each his own I guess.

Sorry, no pics... But there are just two small screws on the back side of the buttons. Once you take those off and look inside I don't think you would have any problems.
