Ok boys and girls..need your help. I have been thinking of getting a oem style CF hood for a while now. If I get it I'm going to paint the sides to match the color of the car. Shood I go ahead and do it...or spend the money on something else??...my roof is also black

I say dont get the CF hood. It would make the car look awkward.

CF looks better with colors like SGM.

CF hood on white car? It's a bit contrasting.

You want to make it subtle, so I would vote against painting the fenders to match.

You car will look like a police vehicle with all that black and white...

If you go CF I would paint the sides of the hood. That way your hood bulge would be CF and the sides would match the rest of the car.

It would look more like a arrow from the top shot of your IS.

i think it'll flow nice if you get the CF trunk too since your roof is black.

it'd be hotter if you got a custom CF roof panel lol

CF hood = Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement... why? our hoods are already light weight... you would gain nothing performance wise with going with a CF hood. Sorry to all the guys out there already with CF hoods but hey, i speak the truth. COURSE if you paint the WHOLE CF hood to match the car then

Now that is a possible idea being that your roof is black. A full black hood IMO, would stick out too much.

The OP already stated that he would paint the sides of the hood the color of the car. He never mentioned the fenders....
