Default Have you noticed Kelly Blue Book on IS?

Hey guys/gals, since I just refinanced my Lexus IS 250 with my credit union last month, I was happy my IS was valued at $35,250, but when I went to check again recently, it went down dramatically, to $32,520... on suggested retail, and went down terribly on "trade-in" to almos $24,000 (or lower).

That's really dramatic, What gives?

This is what happens when you buy a car near invoice. Everybody wants a great deal, but when more people get great deals, the resale price drops. Why pay premium for used when you can get new for just a little more (or even the same price)?

Yup, that is true.

That's actually VERY good.... only 10% depreciation in a year w/ 10K miles... I'll take that anyday...

How much are 2006 IS 250s with about 30-50k miles going for? KBB, if I remember correctly, said $25k, but I'm not sure if that is accurate.

What are 2008 IS 250s going for out the door?

Thank you.

well then I know I got a steal... I got a 2007 IS 250 premium package, with navigation, and only 18,000 miles for 27,500 cash.. the girl was upside down on her payments so I made out like a bandit. Car is perfect not a thing wrong with it... Other than the fact that it makes a horribly annoying knocking noise, now tell me, is adding octane booster ok? it says in the manual to use 96 grade gasoline.. I use 91 cause that’s the best I can get.. whats the average MPG on the car, factor in that I have a bad case of the lead foot. How much HP and I supposed to be pushing, I thought only 204 but mine is pushing 245, cant figure out why, neither can the Lexus dealership. maybe im lucky ha-ha. I know a thing or two about mods because of my teggy and all the work put into that, but Lexus is new to me.

10%? a 10k 1 year old isn't going for 10% lower than the original price. It's more like 20-25% if you sell the car by yourself or even worse if you do trade in.
