Default F-Springs: help resale, make no difference, or hurt resale?

My past experience shows major mods such as suspension changes hurt resale. Even with factory parts. Opinions?

that is true...mods hurt resale, unless you are fortunate enough to find an enthusiast who wants those mods, would do them anyway, and doesnt realize that he can bargain you down

a word to the wise...keep all original parts!!!

Really makes no difference.

Ultimately, if someone wants to buy your car, their pricing decisions will be determined by NADA or KBB, not small mods here and there...

Switching transmission or adding a supercharger is a major mod.

1" factory-made lowering springs? Not so much.

Won't make the slightest difference to resale

It probably won't help resale, but it's so easy to change back to stock that only a real tool would gripe about it.

One good thing about getting the F sport parts is that you can still say you have all factory parts when selling the car. That's one reason why I chose all F sport parts instead of going eibach or hotchkis. You still can claim all lexus quality controlled parts when selling the car or servicing it. I don't even think you have to mention that you have modified it to anyone. The new buyers probably wont even notice with a 1" drop.

I think the F-Sport springs is too minor to have an impact on resale.

think of f-sport as a factory option. it's pretty much the l-tuned replacement.

Makes no difference and will not hurt resale because it is an OEM Lexus part. Especially if you have it installed by a dealer. Retain the old springs and swap it out by a friend for cheap before you sell the car. Then sell the F-Sport parts separately.

F-sport brakes might increase it by a bit figuring they might only offer these for 10 months.

Thanks all for the replies. This is the beauty of being a part of such a group. Really helps with decisions. I am going to go for the F-springs simply because they are Lexus parts and I can claim quality and warranty. I'll post pics in a few weeks of the results.
