OUR HID's ARE SO YELLOW!!!! HELP!!
Ok I did not really notice how YELLOW our HID's looked until I was parked beside my friend's TSX. My IS350's HID looked like halogen compare to his HID's. I mean both are 4300k but why is our HID output so yellow. I noticed the TSX was white color output and had a tint of blue and purple hue to it. I thought he was pulling my leg and he got 5000k's. But nope...his was stock!!! There after, I start noticing other cars such as TL, S2000, BMW, Audi and all looked white HID's. Sorry but I keep looking at my HID with disapointment now. I also notice the TSX's cut-off was sharper and cleaner. Is their anything wrong with our projectors or maybe my projectors?? Anyone experience this?? Is it just my HID's that are so yellow??? I look at the ground reflections and the wall and it is very yellow now that I noticed it. Too me it doesn't even look like HID's anymore...

I think your over exaggerating how bad your HID's really are.
Our Projector lens is not that great quality. The TSX has one of the best projectors in the market, which is why everyone does TSX retrofits..
Anyways 4300k is suppose to be a pure white, with no blue tint. If you want a white with a blueish tint get 6K bulbs. It will solve all your problems.

Yep ExTrEmE99 is right, the projectors from the tsx are one of the best. If you really want to go through all the trouble of doing a retro fit...you can find all the info and parts on hidplanet.com

im going to disagree with everyone here. My wife has a TSX and it is by far better then our car. All Acura's are this way!!
But my last car was an Audi S4 and previously I was in 2 BMW's....Our car has the WORST Hid lights I have seen.
Changing the bulb is not going to give you more light output but just change the color. This info was from our light expert Cliff...So if you want color then change the bulbs! If you want more light output then its not going to happen with the OEM setup. Other members have installed HID fogs and that seems to help. I am considering them myself just for this reason.

So it isn't my projector that has a problem. They are just bad lenses and projector I am guessing here. I would love to do a retro fit but no one here in Vancouver can do it for me. Besides I don't want to spend an arm and leg just to get what the Acura's/BMW/Audi's HID's output are. All I can say is I am really disapointed I had to pay over thousands just to add on the HID and they suck!!! I should of just bought a Phillips HID kit 6000k for $400 and saved myself a good $1000 bucks!!! Oh well...I guess I might look into replacing the bulb. That seems to be the cheapest way.
For the peeps that had installed after mkt bulbs can you state your color and post a picture so I can see what they look like? Rican219's IS HID's is looking pretty hot!!

I honestly believe that our HID system isnt that bad and does the job. Sure it might not look perfect but it handles the job and does a pretty good job.
It seems like the main thing your looking for is the color hue, which can be achieved with new 6K bulbs which is white/blue.
