Very interesting. That's what I'd call modded, not most of the stuff you'll find around here, like roof spoilers.

 

i wonder whats under the hood of that. my guess is that its not the stock engine, probably a different one.

 

The headlights on that car look like stickers. I think that is a whole new fiberglas body, or maybe just a one piece front.

There was a post here a while back of this car at Tokyo auto salon without sponsership livery.
There were a lot of "that's an ugly body kit" responses, this just furthers the fact that the majority of 2IS owners aren't car people and don't really follow racing More, look at me I drive a LEXUS type people

 

Politics. There was a power struggle between TRD/Lexus and Team Lexus. The project was scrapped, cars were parted out, and the empty shells you see sit in a warehouse on the east coast.

Haha, my thoughts exactly - but what do you expect from a Lexus board? This is beginning to change, though...

actually I have the japanese magazine for that car,, they worked on that car and changed everything. Similar to the discount tire one (but more extreme). It uses Supra engine Twinturbo and produces 500Hp++ wide body and everything.. interesting concept tho

 

I wonder if they'll sell these? Looks like a perfect project car to me! ??????

 

What a shame that the TRD division had a falling out with the Lexus development division. I heard this was going to happen when the 2gen was released. Lexus ultimately wanted the "F Sport" line as a means of making more money. TRD would have made a turbo/supercharger upgrade. We'll see what the "F Sport" line has in store for upgraded HP's in the future.
