the 2is doesn't really have an individual license plate cover area. that entire bottom portion which contains the license plate and the emblems are one piece. so a cf piece would cover that entire portion. might as well just get the entire trunk lid cf-ed out.

That is true, if you place a CF piece in the licence plate area, it would fall flush with the rest of the trunk. It could be a great idea though, maybe just make one for the inside. A flat piece of CF shaped to be place behing the license plate without it curving up like the one on the IS300.

Well this whole piece is plastic or whatever under the "L" and where the plate holes are..

Would guys be making an insert that fits inside that area?? or a whole entire replacement piece??

The plus side is that our 2IS comes with 2 extra lic plate mounting holes, which can be used for your piece in the event you just design & make the insert portion..

Don't forget you will have a key hole, lic plate lights, back-up camera & trunk release button to work around as well..

that looks pretty good as long as it only covers that part in the pic.

Joe Z, do you have more pics of the F-sport spoiler on the IS?

I want that whole lower trunk piece in CF (without the badge holes) not just a garnish for the licensplate area, the OE piece is just plastic and removable. Could that be done?
