Default Sprint Booster

The Sprint Booster aims to overcome this throttle response delay for ECT-equipped vehicles, providing crisp on-tap acceleration at the driver’s disposal. While Sprint Booster does not increase horsepower, it changes the throttle response in the low to mid rpm range where cars spend a majority of their time.

It's really popular amongst BMWs but anyone in here have any experience
with it? Sounds very interesting.

there was a thread about this long time ago. Basically our cars don't need it. It does what our Pwr mode does already. If you go into snow mode it'll be like normal mode, if you're in normal mode it'll be like power mode, if you're in power mode you'll be like super touchy barely drivable power mode.

but if your in ect mode its even more responsive?? i remember reading the thread.. driving in normal mode with the sprint booster is just like driving in etc mode. BUT the thing is if you drive in ECT mode it doesnt calculate your gas mileage i read somewhere? someone correct me if im wrong. your gas mileage indicator and what not doesnt change from how it was when your driving in normal mode. plus driving in etc mode it all the time sometimes it holds the gears wayy too long in normal driving so i dont use it.. causes me to speed since my rrpms are wayy up there anyways lol

its does make a difference in throttle response. i have been using it for quite while now and i must say I'm very happy about it. Good for overtaking.

ote111, is it noticeably different? I wonder how much of a difference in response time...and if it's worth $300

I installed today the sprint booster in my is350 and i dont know if it is mental, but i feel a big difference in the car. The response time is a lot better and the car does seem faster.

I will post pics tomorrow of the installation.

well i believe it works a lot better in BMW because most of their torque is up at the top range. so the sprintbooster helps them get there much faster. while for us, all of our torque is available by 5k so getting a sprintbooster isn't that great of an option. this is just my opinion though, i think 300 dollars could be much better spent else where

I had one in my C230 that I used to drive and it made a huge difference, it was not mental, I'm sure of that. When I got the IS, the ECT button reminded me exactly of the sprint booster, just a lot more power.

The ECT button is in your head too, the car is actually slower in a race with it turned on.

Mental / placebo-effect, that's nice.
