maybe, i need tires first. I also know that I have a long time to go to dial in some key aspects about road racing first. Figure it's best to learn to get your skills down with a pretty much stock car, and make adjustments from there. I think the sway bars are the only thing from that f sport line that looks interesting though. The brakes would be nice, but my stock brakes work great.

Yeah, that's what we (will) use - currently finishing off the prior version sets of those (RA1).

They seem to have pretty good prices, so I am going to ping them and see when they plan on getting the r888's in.
Thanks, and post up the wide angle vid link.

Thanks Greg. I think if you combine knowing what your cars limits along with the information your instructors are giving you, progress will be made. Especially the part about listening (if he/she is good) to what your instructor says. They have many many hours on the track and know what they are talking about. It was so funny because our classroom instructor would come out when we ran, and you could be cruising along, and all the sudden he would be in your rear view mirror. He would follow you for a few turns then move on to the next car. he could just go through the field like it was nothing. I didn't matter what car he drove either, he could just pass you at will. He would tell you what you did right and wrong. It was great.

Very cool to see a 2IS owner tracking their car!!! So far I've only AutoXed my IS250 since my Z06 gets the track duty (and the majority of the AutoX duty too). Here were my AutoX impressions:

Troy I had her push up a lap from the event we did a couple weekends ago at Roebling Road. Not sure why the sound isn't there, it was when I watched over her shoulder.
This is with the wide angle on, goes pillar to pillar

The track graphic and gauge stuff is from her data acquisition system (w/ gps) - she's still adding more sensors and getting it set up right.
Compare to one from a year ago w/o the wide angle at Carolina Motorsports Park

I def. see the difference with the lens, but the 2nd video is still good IMO. The best part about these video's is the fact that your wife is racing. I would kill to have a sig other into racing cars.
So i have seen several people with those same data acquisition systems. How much did that run?
Thanks for the vids.

Her type (Racepack) is about $1k for the base system and she's probably spent $1.5K on additional sensors and inputs for it. She found the base system posted for sale on bimmeforums unopened by a guy who got sponsored and got a higher end system so she got a deal on the initial cost.
Another popular brand around that price range is Traqmate.
