thanks for the input guys, i guess im tired of seeing is250 everywhere but maybe thats because its a great car. Ill probably stick the fitty and invest into some rims to spice it up a bit.

Me too.
But that wouldn't sway me to get the G37.
I think that the IS350, albeit a sedan, provides much more quality. The G37 is more performance oriented, but alas, does not perform much better than the IS350 sedan.
I can't wait to see what the IS coupe/convertible will offer...

I want to buy another IS350 so bad because I loved that car, but I'm thinking I'm going to pick up an Audi A5 just because I know I will not see another one, or at least very rarely.

i have been awe'ing the G's as well. however, i do prefer the G35 over the G37 (just dont like the nwe body style of the 37). if it were me, and my car was paid off, i'd get the G35-but that's ME. i'm pre-mid life crisis and have a full plate; so i'm entitled to some fun.
a bit OT, but, hey the porsches are looking attractive too

I agree the IS is like the most common car out there. It's more common than civic's, accords, or camrys in my area. I might trade my 350 for a g37 only if I could do like a direct trade and not pay any more $. The IS is just nicer still. (faster, more practical, nicer interior, more balanced looks, more reliable, and now with my f suspension handles just as well)

According to Road & Track data, the IS350 may have an edge, although its top speed is less:
0-60……...….IS350=4.9, G37=5.5
Top Speed…IS350=142, G37=155
Qtr mile…..…IS350=13.5, G37=14.1
Having said that, and being in a position of owning both cars (albeit a 250), you’ve got to drive both before deciding. The IS350 is a classy car and well-built, but the new G37 has an edge on technology.
Our IS250 is really my wife’s, and when my lease was up on my 2004 G35 coupe, I was thinking of getting his-and-hers IS’s in our garage. But after driving the Infiniti the decision was made, at least for me.

I test drove both before deciding on the IS350. The steering is great in the G, but i notice it has a tendency to understeer around everyturn if you give it to much. I never felt that with the IS. It felt a lot more balanced and quicker.
I personally wouldn't ever trade my IS.. but you have to test drive both..maybe even more then once to make your decision.
Good luck

Rare is ill defined in this context. The IS has been out since mid '05 and the g37 is a lot newer... and those who can afford it may just opt for something else. Nissan/Infiniti as of late as taken a tole in design and its showing in sales... and um rarity.
