Hi,
I was wondering if someone could enlighten about the difference between the HID kits offered by XenonDepot (Xtreme brand) and AACS (Oracle brand).
I want to change out my 4300K HIDs to 6000K and I'm pretty sure I need the D4S bulbs but I'm not sure what the differences in quality/light output/color/longevity etc are between these 2 brands and vendors.
I think xenondepot claims that their HIDs are made in Japan and OEM quality, but I could be wrong. Not sure about AACS.
The price from XD under the groupbuy is $199 I believe and AACS is offering them for $119, which is obviously a significant difference.
EDIT: I just realized that the XD price is for the entire conversion kit, but all I would need is replacement bulbs since I already have HIDs right? Those replacement bulbs seem to be a lot cheaper than AACS bulbs. Given that I may only need bulbs, does anyone have experience with what the differences might be?
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply, I've actually seen that link before but it doesn't really answer my question: what's the difference between the D4S bulbs of 2 different brands in terms of quality/light output/color/longevity etc?
Thanks.
Thanks.

There could be several differences. I am not going to comment in terms of our brand vs another specific but common differences are (in no specific order):
1) Lumens output
2) Country of manufacture
3) Quality
4) Warranty (how long and how is it handled)
5) Reliability of vendor
6) How the bulb is manufactured

Humm i was between the mobile one and xeon bulbs but not the AACS one tho...I just think that the easy answer is who will stand behind their product 100% because i know somtimes things fail really easy and then we have to shell out more money to ship it back :P so i also am in the same boat trying to figure out who is good to order from.

I agree - ideally I'd like to get it done locally but that's not an option for me at this time..
I think i'm going to go with AACS's Oracle bulbs since they're doing some other work for me as well so I can get it all done in 1 shot.
Thanks.
