Does anyone know how to drain the engine coolant?

Or is there a DIY or any pictures of detailed steps anywhere on how to do it??

There should be a drain plug under the radiator and you night need a lift. I did a drain and fill with my gen 1 and used only the Toyota extended life coolant. Make sure to drain when the coolant is cold. You can also regulate the amount drained if you use a measuring device used in baking. Make sure the additive is Silicate and Phosphate free.

Crawl under your car and look for a drain plug under the radiator. You may have to remove a plastic panel. I will have to check my 2gen and possibly take a pic. Should be effortless.

You've got to be kidding. What a waste of time and effort.

OK, how about I say something practical? What you did was entirely pointless and to the detriment of your engine. There is absolutely NO reason to do ANYTHING to the stock cooling system on an ISx50 unless the coolant leaks out.

Your completely unfounded fear that it is somehow hotter in Texas than it is in the Mojave desert proving grounds Lexus/Toyota/Scion use is obviously causing you to want to change things "to run cooler." NOTHING could be worse for your engine. It is designed to run at a specific temperature, and nothing short of changing the thermostat will make this any different.

Not only have you reduced the amount of manufacturer installed coolant to no benefit, but you've added an unapproved chemical to the mix. If ANYTHING goes wrong - water pump seals fail, radiator manages to corrode, etc, etc, YOU will be footing the bill. Testing coolant is dead simple, and it's very easy to detect Water Wetter in your coolant. So basically you've taken your engine warranty at tossed it to the four winds for no good reason. Why would you want to do that? Oh, you're afraid it's hotter in Texas than it is in the Mojave. Right. Please.

I get irritated when people do ill-advised things out of fear with no basis in reality and with no data to prove the change you made has any positive effect.

There ARE reasons to change your coolant to water ratio, and there are reasons to run Water Wetter. None of those reasons apply to any ISx50 driven on the street today. Even the ones with superchargers running 5 psi of boost.
