Default Snow Mode = Gas Saving Mode?

With gas prices hitting around $4.50 a gallon.
Has anyone else used "ECT Snow" to save gas?
I've been hitting high 20s - low 30s mpg in the city.

Using ECT Snow in dry weather isn't bad for the car right?

I'll have to try snow mode and see if it makes a difference. I've been trying to drive without my notorious lead foot, and have been managing 20-21mpg city. I wonder if snow mode can add to that??

this could go both ways depends on the highway....
if its always level then it will help....
but if it has alot of hills this may actually hurt....the car will do all it can to stay at the same speed....

Same here... I am normally in sport mode, except for long trips on the highway, then I switch to normal... And like you said, in stop and go traffic I switch to snow...

I don't do it for gas savings, just like those profiles for those driving conditions... But I suspect they are also good for fuel economy...

Snow mode makes the car feels so heavy. Is there a snow mode option for 250? I can't imagine how slower it will feel.

I tried this out last time I read a thread like this. I just makes the 250 so unenjoyable to drive.

Snow mode does make the gas pedal seem like it weighs 2000 pounds but it really does help with gas mileage. I was actually experimenting with this on the highway today. I was cruising along at 70 in normal mode and my "current MPG" display was showing I was getting approximately 28-30 MPG. As soon as I hit the Snow button, my current MPG jumped to 40-45 MPG without losing any speed.

what the heck does Snow mode do?? does it just change to a higher gear all the time? Cuz man it makes the car feel like crap. no fun, but if it saves gas then I may give it a try.. 35+ mpg would be sweet!
