^^^ yes. anything over 35w HID in your fogs will run the risk of burning the oem harness and melting your housing.

Default 2011 Lexus IS 250

1st pic has:
6,000 Kelvin H11 35W Full Size Ballast Kits (low beam + fog lights).

2nd pic has:
60cm SMD LED Strips.

Also, the lights aren't as blue as they are in the picture. They are more white but they are bluer in the picture for some reason.

Let me know what you think!

Question, can anyone tell me how you do the stand alone fog lights? Where you can turn fogs on only?

Hey tarzan, as you know our cars dont do it from factory (this makes no sense) but you can wire them up yourself.

I didnt follow either of the 2 DIY posted here as they involved tapping into the fuse box and IMO thats a bit risky. Though some here have done it and have had no problems.

This is such a simple mod its not even funny.
Splice the negative and positive from your fog lights harness and run the wires up to the positive and negative of your city lights. Done.

Yup, the only thing is you wont be able to drive with headlights ONLY anymore, its fogs only or all 4 at once.

What I love about the way I did it is that I retain using OEM stalk switch.

I did not change it but the place I went that I had it installed at put an LED light right above the DRL so when all 4 lights are on, the DRLs are off and they are replaced with that little LED light right above it.

I hope that makes sense lol.

I've gone through a lot of bulbs in a short period of time. Had some v-leds brand D4S bulbs that were supposed to be "6000k blue" but came in purple. Then I got some ebay 6000k bulbs and v-leds 6000k blue fogs. I am currently running MTEC 8000K D4S low beams with Putco yellow High beams and the 6000k blue v-leds slim ballast hid in my 2012 headlights.
