I'm near braindead when it comes to electronics and such so i thought i'd seek some knowledge here. my passenger side mirror isn't working as far as adjusting it via the driver side controls as well as the auto tilt feature. when i do attempt to adjust it i hear a single very quiet click (sounds like a click from a relay, not sure if there is even one in there?) and that is all i hear, no motor humming or anything. anyhow if it is indeed a relay click would that mean that the motor is either burned out or there is some kinda wiring issue? thanks in advance for any advice with this matter.

I had the same problem with my 06 a few months back, dealer replaced it because I wasn't the first one with the problem. Ordered a new one the same day and replaced. Just an FYI.

hey mike, do they replace just the motor assembly? or the entire guts of the mirror?

i need to get my driverside one fixed too, and am afraid to put in new puddle lights, if they might replace the whole assembly, haha

thanks cbbkrayz, just got back from the dealership. they ordered me a new mirror but it won't be in til tomorrow. a little while back i went in for the TSIB brake pads and they were a pain to deal with, however they were surprisingly accomodating when it came to the side mirror issue today.

they will be replacing the entire mirror, i'm fairly certain this is commonplace after reading some past threads concerning side mirror issues.

aww shoot, does that include the puddle lamp assembly?

hey i see a trend here, all 06' SGM 350s have this problem, hahaha.

I'm not 100% certain, but i can't imagine that they would swap out the entire side mirror but take the time to swap out the puddle light assembly from the old unit. i'll let ya know after they replace mine tomorrow if ya want.

I'm headed to lexus of rockville (rockville, md) for this particular service, but the guys at lindsay lexus (northern va, alexandria i think) have been very helpful and cooperative in the past. i'm still waiting for the call confirming delivery of the mirror, they said it would be in today . i'll let ya know how things go.

hmmm, yeah i've been thinking about going to lindsay, from most of the members here, i gather that its a good place to go. it would be alot closer than rockville for me.
