I recently went to the dealership to see how much the 2is gfx kit was. Since sewellparts is having a ridiculous sale i wanted to see if they would price match them to save on shipping. I recall someone posting and said that there dealership price matched. Anyways i met up with the manager in the parts department and procedded to ask the cost of the kit. He goes to the back and comes back out and tells me that the cost of the kit is $2500 including installation and than explains to me what the actual kit is. As soon as he spits out the cost of the kit my jaw dropped. I told him that he must be incorrect and that was the original pricing of the kit and that i know the kit goes for alot cheaper. He looks at me for a moment, tells me to wait a second and heads to the back again for some reason. On his return he tells me that each individual piece is around 350-400 dollars a piece and i say thats sounds more like it. But could you do me one more and price match me from this other dealership i go on to tell him about sewell and he says its highly unlikely that this site is an actual dealership and its way below there cost. He takes my phone number down and the website and tells me that he'll look into and call me right away. So i walk away with a smile and told him that ill be waiting for his phone call. The funny thing is that by the time he called me back i was pratically in the same area, but none the less he told me that the actuall sewell site was legit but they couldnt price match them, but it was way below there cost.

Now my question is it corporate policy that lexus dealerships have to price match or is it up to individuals to price match depending on the situation?

i figured it was to the dealerships discretion, id just like to know if anyone knew for a fact. Also it was not cool at all for them to try and rip me off right off the bat by telling me it was going to be $2500.

 

LOL I have a similar story.................. last year sewell was selling the ISPs wheels for $830 plus shipping. So I decided to get a quote at my local dealer for the ISPs My jaw drop too when the guy came and told it was gonna be $2600, I told him I didnt want any tires because I was gonna use my stock tires, and then he told me the price that he gave me was for wheels only
I was like WTF $2600 for ISPs wheels where you can get it sewell for $830

 

Similar thing happened to me last year when I asked a local dealership to match Sewell's prices. The parts guy without knowing who Sewell was immediately said that Sewell must be an aftermarket shop selling surplus Lexus parts. I told him Sewell was an actual Lexus dealer and that he could verify it quite easily but he still stood by his opinion. I'm okay with them not matching the price...it's their discretion but just don't feed me with BS. Needless to say I have never been back there ever since.

 

When I told the dealer where I got my F-sport springs they just sighed and said no need to tell the price because there was no way we could match it anyway.

 

I asked the local Lexus dealer yesterday if they would too match Sewell's price of $150. 10 minutes later, they e-mailed back saying that they can do $260. Not sure if that included tax or install.

 

most likely the price for the part. sewell must get 99% of clublexus business lol, only reason i even asked is that i get so ancy and cant wait for out the delivery time.

 

no ones gonna touch those prices from sewell especially for that kit right now.

 

Sewell pricing rocks!!! Much cheaper than my dealer and other local Chicagioland dealers for parts even with shipping.

 

My dealer just matched the price for the front spoiler, that's all I wanted. $225 since the shipping charge is $75. Avoids any transit damage, there's no doubt I will be ordering from Sewell in the future.

 

Is that 225 after tax?
