HELP me figure out what tire size...
Well I ended up ordering a set of wheels before I even have my car (it arrives in august). Ha ha. Anyways I'm looking to pick up some tires now. I plan on lowering my car with Tein S-Techs or F-Sports. I don't want to rub and want to retain my ride quality. I don't mind rolling the rears if needed.
The wheel specs are:
Front Size: 19x8.5
Front Offset: +35 mm
Rear Size: 19x9.5
Rear Offset: +38 mm
I'm thinking maybe
235/35 fronts and 265/30 rears?
My main questions are..
How Stretched can I go?
How Wide can I go?
Stretched VS Wide?
Rolling the rear?
Fender liner mods?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm used to own a impreza and very new to the 2IS world. I know a lot of you are very knowledgeable and can shed some light on this.
Thanks in advance
Ryan

if you really want to you can stretch a 215 in the front and a 235 in the rear but thats like waaaaaay extreme those are the smallest tires ive seen on a 8.5-9.5 staggered setup.
as for how wide of tires, ur gonna wanna stick with a 235/35 in the front, a 245 is going to rub if your going to lower the car. As for the rear you can go up to 275/30 w/o any fender modding but if you feel like shaving or rolling you can prolly get a 285/30 on (but i dont see why you'd want to).
I suggest a 235/35 front and a 265/30 rear. Its the most commonly used tire setup. Some people use a 275/30 in the rear, it normally comes down to the offset to determine the rear tire size.
Hope this helps

Thanks I'm probably going to want to have a VIP stretched look.
Oh I picked up Sherlock Society M22 from TOP HAT and they should arrive in 4 - 7 days.
Full Diamond Polish:
The industry term for this is “supersicky concaviture”
I'm going for a VIP look. Besides handling what are the other downsides to having stretched tires?

If you want a stretched look then go 225/35 in the front and 255/35 in the rear. Thats a minor stretch. A downside to stretched tires is that its easier to curb ur wheels and also ur more likely to dent a wheel if you hit a pot hole.

Well I was going to run 235/35 fronts and 265/30 rears but the 235/35 are on backorder
What do you think about running 225/35 front
What would I need to do to get 245/35 fronts to fit?

Richie do you see this mods before he has his car!! haha...what are you going to do!
OP I would go with the tires Trintyhk suggested for the same reason. you dont want to kill those rims and if the roads are anything like the are in my area it would take me a week to damage a rim
Congrads on the "pre" mod!!! I love that you are getting stuff before the car! thats awesome...
